Log Cabin Booking

Google streetview of location

The Scout Hut was built in 1961 and was extended and upgraded in 2016.

The Cabin is steeped in history. It is the only operational Scout Hut in the UK that is a real Log Cabin.

It has excellent facilities for Scouts but also for other functions and kids parties.  As well as the large hall there is a large kitchen, plenty of toilets including baby change and disabled access. Outside there is a very large garden area with picnic tables.

Facilities:

  • Fully equipped kitchen with two ovens, two hobs, microwave, kettle, dishwasher
  • Lots of cooking utensils
  • Plates/cups/mugs
  • Childrens plastic plates and mugs
  • Large garden area
  • Heating
  • Disabled facilities
  • Tables/Chairs and Benches
  • Parking

There is parking for about 7 cars allowing access in and out easily. The space could fit approximately 15 cars if everyone was staying. There is also parking nearby at Winchester Train Station if more is needed.

The Log Cabin can be hired out for children’s parties and family get togethers on weekends until 6pm.

Rental is charged at £18/hour.
Please note that an extra charge of £20 will be made if the space is not cleared and cleaned to our satisfaction after your event.

It can also be hired during week days for fitness classes/seminars/talks etc. Please get in touch for more details.
